About Brenda

Brenda Kezar is a horror and fantasy writer living in North Dakota. Her love of horror dates back to age eight, when the lack of a babysitter meant her parents had to drag her to a completely age-inappropriate horror movie. A few years later, she won a young author's conference in her grade category and a dream was born.

She attended the University of North Dakota and made a name for herself in the accounting department, earning accolades and membership into several prestigious accounting student groups. To this day, no one in these groups knows what she really looks like since she was always sneaking off to the English department building to hang out with the other wanna-be writers.

When she's not writing, thinking about writing, or avoiding writing by surfing eBay, Brenda likes to read and spend time in the great outdoors (preferably around a campfire with things crashing through the woods). She occasionally spares a few moments for her infinitely-patient husband, Greg.

Her favorite television shows are The Walking Dead and Survivor ("the greatest psycho-social experiment ever").

Although she's not afraid to go spelunking on vacation in Kentucky, she harbors a paralyzing fear of steel wool. She's also prone to strange accidents, such as the time she was rushed to the ER for a porcupine quill embedded in her leg even though there are no porcupines for 500 miles.
