April is National Poetry Month
April is National Poetry Month and though I don't write it, I love to read it. Today, I thought I'd share some of my favorites:
A Blessing by James Arlington Wright
A Story by Li-Young Lee
Goodnight by Li-Young Lee
Battlefield by Mark Turcotte
Because You Asked About the Line Between Prose and Poetry by Howard Nemerov
The Meadow Mouse by Theodore Roethke
Keeping Things Whole by Mark Strand
Out, Out-- by Robert Frost
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost
Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost (stay gold, Ponyboy)
Do Not go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas
And I could go on and on . . .
So go rekindle your love for poetry (or find some new ones to love) and have a happy National Poetry Month!
